What we do

Heat back, safely.

Heaters mix water, electricity and often gas. We treat every repair that way.

  • Ignition problems

Clicks but won’t light, or lights and shuts off: ignitor, flame sensor and gas valve tested.

  • Sensors

Faulty thermal regulators and high-limit switches that shut the heater down early, replaced.

  • Error codes

LO, IF, HLS and the rest: we read the code and make the specific repair.

  • Control boards

Blank screens and dead keypads: boards and display parts replaced.

  • Water flow

No flow, no fire. We check bypass valves, dirty filters and pressure switches.

  • Heat exchanger check

Bad chemistry corrodes the copper core. We check it’s safe to run.

Signs your heater needs repair.

Heater problems don’t fix themselves. Call if you see these:

  • Clicking but the burner never lights.
  • Black soot or dark exhaust around the vent. This is a fire hazard.
  • Water puddling under the heater.
  • Error codes like “Service Heater,” LO or IF on the display.

How it works

How a heater repair works.

  1. 1

    Diagnose

Water flow, gas pressure and power first, then each component until we isolate the failure.

  2. 2

    Written quote

The part and the price. If the heat exchanger is rusted and unsafe, we talk replacement, not a band-aid.

  3. 3

    Repair & test

Fired up, ignition verified, no gas or water leaks, temperature reached safely.

How it works

Good to know

Straight answers, before you call.

Repair or replace?

A failed sensor, board or dirty ignitor on a younger heater: repair it. Leaking from inside means the heat exchanger is gone, and that costs nearly as much as a new heater. Over 8 years old with major problems? Replacement is usually smarter.

Brands we service

Pentair MasterTemp, Hayward Universal H-Series, Jandy JXi and LXi, and Raypak, with factory sensors, boards and ignitors. Replacements get cupro-nickel heat exchangers that resist corrosion.

Pool Heater Repair FAQ

Why is my heater clicking but not lighting?

Usually the ignitor, flame sensor or gas supply. Turn it off and give us a call.

Can poor water chemistry damage my heater?

Yes. Low pH corrodes the copper heat exchanger from the inside. Balanced water protects it.

How long does a pool heater last?

Many last around 8 years or more, depending on water chemistry and care. After that, big repairs often don’t pay off.

Do you install new heaters?

Yes, gas heaters and electric heat pumps. See pool equipment installation.
